Speaker was one of the best upland game dogs I ever hunted over and would dive into the cover to flush a bird. Speaker also loved waterfowl hunting and his time next to me in the blind.

His temperament was bomb proof and he played with puppies as well as older dogs well into his geriatric years. He was always a gentleman and he never met a stranger. Speaker was an expressive and intelligent dog with a great work ethic and determination to please. Sensitive but with tons of drive and bottom; so the perfect combination for field training. Speaker was a great ambassador for the breed.

Speaker and I were a team from the beginning. He gave me his all and covered my mistakes and taught me to trust myself and believe in the training and each other. He and I had tremendous communication and he was instrumental in my changing my training program to fit my philosophies and building the team with respect and compassion. I am very proud of his progeny, many who not only have his "stamped expression" but also his willingness to please and great work ethic. He was a handsome and well balanced field dog with good pigmentation, bone and coat. Speaker was a special dog and he remains in my heart and soul forever.
